Christmas made in Akwa Ibom
More than a festive gathering, Christmas Unplugged brings heritage, creativity and community together. The 2025 catalogue tells this story through music, dance, cuisine, craftsmanship and the warmth of the village square.

Made by hand
Raffia weaving, woodcarving, pottery and blacksmithing are part of the state’s traditional craft economy. Abak’s archive includes a loom used to make raffia bags, shoes and mats.
A coastal heritage
Eastern Obolo’s maritime identity brings together fishing, boat building, canoe carving and community traditions. The catalogue also documents its Nwatam dance.
